It has to be the first frost night, it's been such a long growing season, I can't imagine it doesn't end tonight. It's 45 degrees at 6 o'clock and the cloud cover was dissapating when the last sunlight left for the day.
So apparently Crocus cartwrightianus likes the long growing season, because it has bloomed very well this year. I will update in the morning with the minimum temps, but for now I'll guess the growing season ends tohight. Well, technically the Autumnal bloomers are a till going, and the winter blooming Narcissus are already thinking about saying hi to Christmas, so since we grow hardy bulbs here really, the growing season never ends.
Cheers,
Mark
