Fritillaria pudica 'Richard Britten'

Pudica has always been one of my favorites since the days I spent botanizing up at Catherine creek in the Columbia River Gorge. This selection is amazing for its stout little golden bells larger than the wild types.

Temps in the 40's and pretty much everything is poking up just waiting for a touch of sunshine.

Cheers,
Mark

  1. When you say "larger than wild types," how much larger? I'm curious as sometimes wild seed grown colonies have a biggun' in there.

    1. Hi Susan, I probably should have said"larger than my wild types". Richard Britten is earlier than my straight pudica this year. But I will post some side by side pics so you can compare them when both are in bloom.
